Eric S. Coleman

We gather to remember and honor the life of Eric S. Coleman, 49, who valiantly lost his fight with cancer on December 29, 2025. Eric, a devoted son and father, embodied kindness and love throughout his life, leaving a profound impact on all who knew him.

Eric was the beloved son of Gloria Kind Coleman and the late John Robert Coleman of Columbia, South Carolina. He was a devoted father to his cherished son, Eric Tyler Coleman of Statesboro, Georgia. Eric shared a close bond with his brothers, Robert E. Coleman and John C. Coleman (Ruby), both residing in Orlando, Florida. He took great joy in his role as an uncle to his two nieces, Izabella and Jenna Coleman, who affectionately adored him.

He is also survived by his aunt, Jennifer Carr, and uncle, Al Carr, both of Columbia, South Carolina, as well as cousins Jason Carr from Irmo, South Carolina, and Ryan Carr (Katie) from Goose Creek, South Carolina. Eric was never without the loving companionship of his furry walking pal, Bandit, who brought him much joy and comfort.

Eric's life was characterized by a deep commitment to his family. He was a loving, kind person, whose warmth and generosity will be remembered fondly by all who had the fortune to call him a friend or family. His laughter and love created lasting memories that will continue to echo in the hearts of those he touched.

A funeral service to honor Eric's life will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 2 PM at the Woodridge Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with entombment to follow.

As we say our goodbyes, let us carry forward Eric's legacy of love and kindness, ensuring that his spirit lives on in our actions and memories. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
