Eric Dalach Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 17, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Eric A. Dalach, 54, of Romeoville, Illinois. Eric passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on December 6, 1971, in Chicago, Eric was the beloved son of Naomi and Daniel R. Dalach. He grew up with a strong sense of family, loyalty, and dedication-qualities that would define the way he lived his entire life.

Eric was a loving and devoted husband to Stephinie Dalach and a proud, dedicated father to Ty Adams, Alex Dalach, Daniel Dalach, and Isabella Dalach. His greatest joy in life was being present for his children. Whether it was athletics, band performances, or cheer competitions, Eric showed up-loudly, proudly, and consistently.

A true Chicago sports fan, Eric loved cheering for the Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Blackhawks. Sundays were for football and family time, gathered around the television, sharing the excitement of the game together.

Eric's dedication to his children went far beyond the stands. He coached his son Ty in baseball and proudly served as a Cub Scout leader. He encouraged Ty's love for music and helped guide him into band; a passion Ty continues today. Eric also coached his sons Alex and Danny in their youth football careers. On the sidelines, he would often tell them, "When I'm on the sideline, I'm not your dad-I'm your coach." It was his way of teaching discipline, teamwork, and resilience while always standing firmly behind them with unwavering love. He never missed an opportunity to support Isabella at her cheer competitions and was so proud of his little princess who could keep 3 older brothers in line!

Those who knew Eric will remember him for the way he lived-with love, strength, and courage. Even during his battle with cancer, he faced each day with determination and positivity, inspiring everyone around him. A true provider, he continued to work for as long as he physically could, always striving to ensure that his family was cared for and never had to worry. His family was his purpose, his pride, and his greatest accomplishment.

Eric's legacy lives on in the values he instilled: dedication, perseverance, loyalty, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered as a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, coach, and friend who gave everything he had to the people he loved most.

Memorial services and visitation will be held at Thornridge Funeral Home in Orland Park, IL on Friday, March 6th from 3-8p.m. A mass will be held the following morning at St. George Church in Tinley Park, IL at 10:00a.m.
