Eric "Ricky" Spencer Farr, 25, passed away on August 16, 2025. He was born on July 5, 2000, in Pocatello, Idaho, and at the age of three was welcomed into his forever family by his parents, Eric and Dawn Farr of Orem, Utah. Ricky was embraced by his older sister Sarah and younger brother Jonah, and a year later, his younger sisters, Nevaeh and Chloe, were adopted into the family. Ricky was a sweet, funny child who brought joy and laughter into his home. He loved participating in the Mastering Knighthood Summit each year, where he dreamed of one day becoming a Master Knight. Ricky also enjoyed dancing ballroom for about a year, competing and finding joy in the art. His time in the Boy Scouts program was another highlight, and he particularly cherished the 50-mile hike he took with his young men's group. He was passionate about sports and closely followed the NFL (cheering for the Patriots) and the NBA (rooting for the Lakers). Despite his love for life and adventure, Ricky faced significant challenges due to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). From a young age, he also struggled with addiction. Ricky took great pride in his independence, often trying to solve problems on his own and navigating life with determination. Unfortunately, his addiction ultimately created distance between him and those who loved and cared for him most. His addiction became the ultimate challenge he could never overcome in this life. His family takes solace in knowing that Ricky is now safe, whole, and healing. Ricky is survived by his parents, Eric and Dawn; his siblings, Sarah Farr, Jonah Farr, Nevaeh Nelson (Kevin), and Chloe Farr; his niece, Lilith; his nephew, Asher; and a new baby due in January 2026. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, 10:30am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel, located at 440 E 800 South, Orem, Utah.
