Dear Peggy,
Marlene shared Eric's obit with our friend group, and we are all so shocked and saddened by his passing, as of course you and your family must be and perhaps not able to actually grasp....I am so so sorry for your loss and send my love and healing prayers to you and your family. Life holds many many chapters it seems, and even though we have not been in touch for a long time, memories of your smile and joyful singing and, of course, of Scott and all things 'Scoot' remain with me.....my heart with you

As a fellow musician and high school friend this is really hard to accept. Each loss in the circle of music leaves a big hole. There are so few of us. His attendance and encouragement was always respected and appreciated when he came to my performances. Thinking of all of you.

Eric and I were looking at the stars and following NASA space programs since I was 7 or 8 years old. We went thru school together and played music together. He was always there as a friend, and I will miss him! My thoughts go out to Peggy, Ethan, and Graham for their loss!!

Dear Gernerd Family, I was so sad to hear of Eric's too early passing. I got to know the caring quality of Eric during my working years in social services and we shared several clients. I was told by another SAM worker that Eric was about to retire in a few weeks. So sad that he did not get to enjoy his retirement years. Keep all your many good memories in you heart and take strength from your time together.

Goodbye dear friend. We will miss you dearly but take solace knowing your strumming and singing with angels.

A gentle soul with strings that sang,
A heart in rhythm, rich and wide-

Like echoes time cannot divide.

Through Maggie´s light, his voice would rise,
Two harmonies in perfect blend,
And in those nights beneath the stars,
We found a joy that wouldn´t end.

Though silence falls where music lived,
His kindness hums in every chord.
