Eric M. Hurwitz, age 76 of Inverness, FL, passed away on December 13, 2025. Eric was born in Framingham, MA on February 15, 1949, to the late William and Sally (Roseman) Hurwitz, and came to this area in 1987 from Holliston, MA with his wife and soulmate, Suzanne Hurwitz. Eric was an artist, a retired computer programmer, and a well-known antiques dealer.
Eric is survived by his wife of 39 years, Suzie Hurwitz; brother David Hurwitz; Rhea Hurwitz and Lissa Messing; his daughter and husband, Kelley and Wade Carlson; and his granddaughter and her husband, The Doctors Jessica and Tommy Wild.
Eric had a large family, consisting of nieces, nephews, many close cousins, in-laws, and friends from around the country and the world.
Eric will be missed by everyone who knew him, as he could communicate with people from all aspects of society. Eric received his BFA from Florida Atlantic University. His constant search for knowledge made him a wiz regarding art, science, technology, and antiques.
Eric was surrounded by love when he passed. Suzie is going to miss him most of all, as he was her soulmate and partner in life.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
