Eric J. Leja

Eric was a great! Kid. I can use kid as he was just behind me in age. My earliest memories of Eric were playing hockey down at Lowlands Parking Lot. He would walk down with the other guys from Little Nahant with their skates hanging from their sticks over their shoulders. We had some great games down there. More recently, I would see him walking while I was riding my bike in the early morning around Nahant in the dark. I could always tell it was him because his height gave him away. I would quickly say " Hi Eric" and he would reply "Hi Jack". A simple ritual that I will miss going forward. My sincerest condolences to Eric´s family and friends for his , too soon passing. He will be missed by all. Jack Gavin

I grew up with you, babysat you and your brothers. Played street hockey until we dropped. A wonderful human being you were Eric. Generous , smart, kind, trustworthy. You had qualities that I never found in anyone I will never forget our phone calls for hours and hours on end.
. I am going to miss you so much Eric. God Bless you Eric. You were always a great, caring generous friend. If there is a god, you´re by his side. I will never delete your voicemails. I valued and appreciated you , as you know as ,I always told you luv ya bro after every time we saw one another or talked on the phone.... I will miss you deeply and never forget you until my time comes!!

I am so very sorry and I pray that your memories will provide some joy during this difficult time . In reading his obituary he was a true Nahanter - we love nature , respect the power of the ocean and find joy and comfort in the simple things- seeing the sunrise and sunset , watching the storms.
