Eric Knight "Rick" Meyers

Eric Knight Meyers "Rick" of Loveland, CO passed away at MCR in Loveland, CO on January 8, 2026, after a period of illness involving cancer and COPD, surrounded by family.

Eric was born in 1956 in Erie, PA to David Knight Meyers and Cecelia (Cis) Heidt Meyers.

He was preceded in death by his father David Knight Meyers in 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Meyers, his children, Jackie(Mike) Morgan, Jessie(William) Richburg, Zach(Fiancée Lynn Pattison) Meyers, Jacob Meyers. His Grandchildren, Cadence Richburg, Emerson Richburg, Gauge Morgan, True Morgan, Maddie Meyers, Juliet Meyers, his Mother Cecelia Meyers, Sister Julie Meyers, Brother Doug(Carrie Bialke) Meyers, Sister Jenni(Tim) Davis, Sister Katie(Sam) Guthrie, His Nieces & Nephews, Seth Harmon, Sammi Davis, Hank (Holly) Guthrie, Hazel Guthrie, Hatti Guthrie, Joe Bialke, and Amber Clark.

Eric spent his entire life working in construction, building new homes and supervising home building projects across Colorado. He was a skilled carpenter who could fix anything and would help anyone. A lifelong Denver Broncos fan, he was rarely without his team's hat. Eric loved bowling, his favorite pastime, and also enjoyed old cars, owning a couple himself. He had a deep passion for cribbage and often skunked his family during game nights. He was an avid follower of history and loved gardening, hunting, camping, and fishing. He was a member of the Moose Lodge for a time and was involved with the Boy Scouts of America. He loved texting his brother and best friend, Doug, daily. He loved his children and grandchildren and cherished spending time with his family.

There will be a viewing from 10am-12pm on January 21st at Viegut Funeral Home.

Graveside service to follow 12:30pm at Loveland Cemetery A celebration of life will be hosted by the family at Sweetheart Lanes, 2320 N Lincoln Ave, at 1:30 PM, per his request. (We invite you to wear a flannel shirt at the celebration in Rick's honor.)
