Memorial services for Eric Shane Morgan, 34, of Ardmore, are scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Monday, August 4, 2025, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
Eric Shane Morgan, born on March 12, 1991, in Ardmore to Mr. James Cloy Morgan and Mrs. Tammy Dawn (Blount) Morgan, passed away on August 1, 2025, in Ardmore. Eric was raised in Cheek and attended Lone Grove schools, where he graduated with the High School Class of 2010. During his time in high school, he pursued his interests at Vo-Tech, focusing on Auto Body Repair. A multifaceted individual, Eric was not only dedicated to his studies but also actively participated in football and showcased a passion for skateboarding. An outdoorsman at heart, Eric loved to fish and enjoyed sharing his joy for life with those around him. He had a gift for entertaining, often captivating friends and family with his ability to quote movie lines and mimic accents. His impression of Billy Bob Thornton's character in "Sling Blade" was particularly noteworthy and brought smiles to many faces. Eric’s creative spirit extended to music, where he demonstrated great talent as a bass guitar player. He was known for his humor and storytelling abilities, enriching the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. Professionally, Eric was employed with Emcor, a contractor for the Michelin Tire Plant, and he also traveled as a skilled repair technician for industrial elevators. During his younger years, Eric was actively involved at the NW Baptist Church in Ardmore, demonstrating his commitment to spirituality and connection with others. His presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him, as he leaves behind a legacy of laughter, creativity, and a deep appreciation for life's simple joys.
Preceding him in death are his grandfather, Arlie Blount and grandparents, Jerry and Bertha (Romines) Morgan.
Survivors include his parents, James and Tammy Morgan of Cheek; siblings, Dylan Morgan and wife Annie of Dickson, Michelle Chester of Redding, California, and Michael Robertson; grandmother, Peggy Blount of Ardmore; uncles, Darwin Blount and wife Jennifer, Kevin Blount, Ray Morgan and wife Sarah; aunt, Ruthie Morgan; nieces, Hazel Morgan, Aubrey and Brinley Chester; nephews, Z.J. Morgan Kyler and Kayden Robertson; numerous cousins, other family, and many friends.
Honorary bearers are Darwin Blount, Samantha McBride, Sam Osborne, Tanner Riley, Garrett Coronado, Victoria Riley, Jayson Kime, and Kale King.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 P.M., Sunday evening, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
