Eric Wayne Powell

Eric W. Powell, 67, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was born September 2, 1958 to the late Marjorie and Tossie Powell. Eric was a U.S Army Veteran. He was employed at OMHS, Waxworks Video, and Kings Great Buys before he retired. Eric was a man of strong faith; he was a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher at Ridgewood Baptist Church. He was a UK fanatic and loved any and all types of sports.
In addition to Eric's parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Sandra Powell; nephew, Michael Ryan; great nephew, Ryland Mills; and grandparents, William and Claudia Johnson.
Eric is survived by his uncles, Dr. Ronnie Johnson and Kenny Johnson; sisters-in-law, Tracey (Jim) Mills and Phyllis Ryan; nieces and nephew, Keli Ryan, Josh (Natalie) Mills, and his "little princess" Sarah (Jackie) Vincent; 4 great nieces, 2 great nephews, and 2 great-great nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Ridgewood Baptist Church. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
