Eric E. Rauh, 61, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was a Power Plant Superintendent McPherson Board of Public Utilities and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was born on October 26, 1951, the son of Clarence, Jr. and Marilyn Lee (Hunt) Rauh. Eric graduated from Sterling High School in 1970 and from Hutchinson Community College. On October 19, 1974, he was united in marriage to Tresa L. Hodson in Hutchinson, KS. Eric was the Commander and Life Member of American Legion Post #24, member of the Legion Riders, leader in Cub Scouts, Webelos, Boy Scouts, all for Troop 133, former assistant scoutmaster, member of the McPherson Bowling Association, and served on the McPherson Cemetery Advisory Committee. Survivors include: his wife, Tresa L. Rauh of the home; daughter, Michelle Nordstrom (Mike) of McPherson, KS; son, Brent Rauh (Mary) of Goessel, KS; father, Clarence Rauh of Sterling, KS; brother, Mike Rauh (Marge) of Loveland, CO; sisters, Rose Mountain (Terry) of Hutchinson, KS, Teresa Ryan (Jim) of Columbus, KS, and Kim Reiter (Steve) of Olathe, KS; and ten grandchildren, Sierah Pennington, Brittany Pennington, Raechel Boese, Corban Nordstrom, Shaylynn Spurlin, Russell Spurlin, Bane Spurlin, Sarah Spurlin, Wade Spurlin, and Skyler Spurlin. He was preceded in death by his mother and two grandsons, Parker Pennington and Asher Boese. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at the First Christian Church with Rev. Lynn Scott officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in the McPherson Cemetery. Visitation is from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial donations may be given to the American Legion Post #24 in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
