Eric Dean "Zeke" Richardson

Eric Dean "Zeke" Richardson, 66, passed away on January 4, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on August 22, 1959, in Arvada, Colorado, Eric lived a life marked by dedication to family, service to his country, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Eric proudly served in the United States Navy in Virginia Beach, where he demonstrated commitment and resilience-qualities that would define him throughout his life. After his military service, he continued to apply his talents as a skilled handyman with a knack for restoring old things. Whether it was breathing new life into a forgotten item or fixing something others thought beyond repair, Eric had an eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship.

He found peace and joy at his beloved cabin in the mountains of Colorado-a place where he could fish and spend time with family. He loved watching old westerns, and cheering on his favorite team, the Denver Broncos. The mountains were more than just a retreat; they were a reflection of Eric's spirit-strong, enduring, and full of quiet beauty.

Eric was known for his great sense of humor and caring nature. He was a loving father and grandfather who cherished time spent with family. His warmth extended beyond immediate relatives to include nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his son Daryld Richardson and daughter-in-law Cassandra Richardson; daughter Rachel Linnebur; grandchildren Paytin Richardson, Landon Richardson, Madisyn Richardson, Andrew Gardner, Quinton Linnebur, Stetson Linnebur, and Cora Linnebur; sisters Leslie Boggess and Linda Godwin; brother-in-law Bill Godwin; brother Lance Tirelli; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Eric was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Richardson; mother Margaret Bluejacket; father Daryld Richardson; stepfather Joseph Bluejacket; stepmother Irene Richardson; brothers Bryan Richardson and Steven Richardson; son in law Cory Linnebur; and other loved family members whose memories remained close to his heart.

A man of quiet strength and unwavering loyalty, Eric will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and may the mountains always echo with the laughter he so freely shared.
