Eric was my primary care physician for many years. A kinder, gentler, more thoughtful and superb physician, I could not have asked for.

I was a high school friend of Eric`s. I remember him as a gentle soul who never spoke a harsh word that I can recall. He was obviously very smart, but also very humble. He was the essence of what we used to call "a good man".

I went to junior and senior high schools with Eric and remember him fondly as a funny, smart and friendly person. He and I became close when we discovered we had something important in common: we each had a sibling with Down Syndrome. My brother Tim went to several programs with his sister Ina. I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I will always cherish my memories of Eric.

My deepest condolences to the entire Sawitz family. I was a long-time patient of Erik´s and always enjoyed our conversations during my appointments. He was a very caring man.
