Eric Parker Slaton Farrar Funeral Home Farmerville, LA Funeral services for Eric Parker Slaton, 55, will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville with Bro. Terry Cole officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill/Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Eric, a retired well test supervisor, went to his heavenly home November 2, 2015 after fighting a good battle with cancer. He was a lifelong native of Farmerville, a graduate of Farmerville High School, an avid Saints fan and a "back-road" rider. He enjoyed riding horses, roping, and hunting. Eric was very friendly and had a good heart by helping others. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Parker Hutson, father, Bobby Ray Slaton, Sr.; grandparents: Plumer & Bertha Parker and Boss & Cristine Slaton. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Suzanne Slaton of Farmerville; step-son: Bruce Rhodes and step-daughter: Teri Rhodes both of Georgia; 1 brother: Bobby Ray Slaton, Jr, of Farmerville; 2 step-sisters: Debbie Silmon and Bonita Hutson both of Farmerville; and 2 step grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mark Campbell, Johnny Anderson, Timothy Elrod, Kelly Ham, Jason Griffin, and Allen Spencer. Visitation is 5:00-8:00pm Wednesday at Farrar Funeral Home.
