Eric was a very dedicated Local 201 Union man who was very helpful to everyone he worked with.
I am glad I had the pleasure to work with him.

"Eric was a great caring union guy. He was always willing to help. I enjoyed our many times surf fishing together over the years and will miss our many funny conversations on politics, union issues and sports. The Patriots won another one for you buddy! Will miss you" Ric Casilli

Eric was a generous, loving soul. Along with his dear friends Roy and Eileen Young, he immediately became involved in St. Andrew's Church. Opening his home and offering friendship to all around him. Later I learned what a devoted husband he was to his late wife. My respect and admiration for Eric is tremendous. Rest in Peace Eric. I know you are with your loved ones and having the joy and happiness you earned in this lifetime. I am grateful to have gotten to know you.

Eric was such a pleasure to interact with and be around. He was very present and actively interested in so many aspects of life. Eric showed us kindness in many ways. Most memorable, was when he and Uncle Roy picked us up at the airport when we brought our son home for the first time. Eric lit up when he was around kids, talking about baseball, fishing or telling us about his latest adventures with Uncle Roy. Eric's sincerity, gentleness and great laugh will be what we miss most.

I was so sad to hear that Eric had passed away. Eric and my sister, Sue, were married for 32 years before she passed away. I can't express the depth of my family's gratitude for the love and patient care Eric gave to Sue every day of those 32 years. He was devoted to her, always kind, loyal and incredibly forgiving. As a member of our family he was fun, funny and easygoing. You can't ask for more.

Eric's selfless dedication to IUE Local 201 was unsurpassed. He was always willing to roll up his sleeves and get involved. Such unique dedication extended to family and friends. When help was needed Eric was the first to arrive.

Thank you, Eric. Peace.

I knew Eric briefly from our Covenant Group at church. We shared many similar memories from Lynn and GE, where my dear late husband also worked. So very sorry to hear of Eric's unexpected passing.

other people exist. OTHER people exist. other PEOPLE exist. other people EXIST. Eric is the rare soul who not only understood this, but lived it out with each moment of his life. He was un-selfish to the core. Because of his understanding of others and life in service to others, he formed relationships of love and care; communities for those of us who needed community. Eric loved to gather us at his home, his club-house, your house, a restaurant, the senior center, anywhere and everywhere-- he was there. As James Taylor sang, "You've got a friend!" Indeed at the center of Eric's heart was to make friends, to be a true-blue friend, and inspire others to reach out and form friendships. Long may his spirit live on in us. Love you and miss you--my Buddy!

My contact with Eric was rather brief. I got to know him during the few years that he attended the U U church of Greater Lynn, in Swampscott. He was generous with his time, predictably friendly, and helpful to those who needed help. Most sorry to hear of Eric's death

Eric, thank you for understanding, for coming for tea, for listening, and helping. You were always there. This year I will go to the ocean alone and bring a flower for you my friend. I miss you. You are with Sue.
