Erica,
It's been just over 2 years since you went to heaven, I want you to know not one day goes by that I don't think of you, remember you, and mourn for you!
I'm trying to keep going because I know you would want me to and trying to do so with a thankful and Loving heart but the truth is the day you left me you took a huge part of my heart with you and just to keep going takes all the energy that I have. You were the most beautiful and best person that I ever knew and I can't wait to see you again my angel

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you!!! You're smile could light up a room better than any I've ever seen. You were such a wonderful friend and though our time together was short I am so thankful to have even known you for a moment! All my love

Erica, when I first met you, you lit up my world. You are the sweetest and funniest and tallest girl I knew. Living with you the past couple years has been amazing. The pranks you pull, The endless nights of cuddling and watching movies, and the times you told me I was lame for not going out with you. You always knew what was going on in my life and always gave me the best advice and now I will never forget you and your traditions like "yeah You right" will never be forgotten. I thank you for being a great friend, sister and roommate to me. Love you always and forever.

Erica when we went to Indiana for the First Cousins Family Reunion is when I had the honor of meeting you and Jacob. You were so Beautiful and had such a kind spirit about you. We talked about your dad in His parents house. Such a brief meeting but memorable. I will miss you always dear cousin. Much Love and Hug your Dad for me. Great Grandparents too.

Missing you every day, something always reminds me of you. You taught me to be a better/happier person, be kind to everyone, for that I'm forever thankful. I love you always, miss you forever.

Words cannot even begin to express the great pain and sadness in my heart by the tragic passing of Erica Hochmeister. Erica possessed a rare combination of beauty, grace, intelligence, compassion and pure love that was felt by everyone who knew her. I feel privileged to have known her, see her smile, laugh and love. Erica's zest for life, equality and humanity was a gift to the world and her passing leaves the world with a void that will never be replaced. Knowing this, I wish her mom, two younger brothers, and friend's peace, courage, and comfort to face the days ahead, and joyous, loving memories of Erica to be forever etched into their hearts.
