On November 7, 2025, Erik Broniman Johnson, took his last breath on Earth and his first breath in Heaven in front of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was only 24 years old. We rejoice in the gift of his salvation provided by God’s Grace through the resurrected Jesus Christ. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Erik was light and love to the family that adored him. He was so smart, witty, clever, and adventurous. We saw remarkable glimpses of the wonderful man he would have become had he had more years: selfless, generous, kind, and full of love. Someone who brightened the lives of those he encountered and left the world better than he found it. He lived a life surrounded by love.
His compassion and empathy in helping his uncle in the late stages of his cancer battle, showed his true character and made his family so proud. The love he lavished on his dogs, Twilight and Gypsy, showed his heart of gold.
God gifted Erik with a great intellect. He could discuss an array of subjects and always enlightened his family. He loved to travel and in his short life saw some incredible places.
He could speak Spanish fluently. That was a passion of his.
Erik, to his family and friends, was a precious gift from God. A radiant soul that brought a taste of heaven to us. It is through loving Erik that his family drew closer to heaven and grasped a little of what it meant to call God, Father.
His family will forever celebrate his beautiful life and be eternally grateful for every second we had with him, but we wanted more time. His family cannot wait for the reunion we will have with him some day. We love you, Erik, and we always will. Enjoy heaven where you are covered in infinite love and boundless joy. It’s your reward for a life well lived. It is not goodbye, but see you soon. Extraordinary Remarkable Intelligent Kind.
Erik is the beloved son of Donald Ross and Donna Marie (nee Broniman) Johnson. Brother of Logan Broniman Johnson. Nephew to Jayne (Philip) Malinowski. Kenneth Michael (Brenda) Johnson, Bruce (Christine) Johnson, Sandra (David) Hart, Carol (Gino) Bazzani. Cousins Shane, Jesse, Phillip, Christopher, Joshua, Erica, Matthew, Troy, Haley, and Kyle. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ross Johnson, his maternal grandparents, Donald and Jeanne Broniman, his paternal grandparents, Del and Gloria Johnson, and his uncle Lawrence Johnson.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
