Erik Carl Paul, 55, passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2025. He was born in Green Bay, WI on June 25, 1969 to Robert and Valorie (Gast) Paul. In Erik's early life, he was known for his love of animals, riding dirt bikes up north, and his passion for baseball and the Packers. Erik cherished the time he spent helping his dad with work.
At the young age of 17, Erik met the love of his life, Tricia (Gossen) Paul. They went on to get married on August 9, 1996. A few years later, Erik and Tricia welcomed their first son, Bryce in May of 1999 followed by their second son, Mason, in May of 2001.
Erik loved being a father to Bryce and Mason. He was very supportive throughout their lives and always wanted what was best for them, including a strong relationship with God. Whether it be sports, rebuilding cars, working together in the garage, enjoying a good bonfire, or playing pool, Erik loved being with his boys and watching them grow into two strong young men. He was so proud of Bryce and Mason.
Erik loved problem-solving, especially when it came to solving problems with his own two hands, and that was reflected in his work. Erik started his working career at Clark Cartage with his dad at a young age as a diesel mechanic. He went on to pursue a career in a similar field as a refrigeration technician, in which he was highly regarded.
When Erik was not at work, he enjoyed being on the boat, doing projects with Tricia and his boys, grilling, being up north, traveling with friends, and he loved learning about anything and everything at any chance he could. Erik loved making big plans for the future and, oh boy, there were lots.
Erik is survived by his love Tricia and their sons Bryce (fiancée Alyse) and Mason (girlfriend Ellie), two sisters Leanne (Kurt Burton), Leslie Paul (Ronnie Krueger); one niece Kayla (Jason Allen) one nephew Hunter Hoffmann (girlfriend Lauren Janssen), and his close Aunt Shirley Yonke (daughter April Fink) and the large Paul family which includes many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he deeply loved.
Erik was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Valorie, sister, Robin Paul, and mother-in-law, Carol Gossen.
Family and friends may call Ryan Funeral Home at 305 N 10th St. in De Pere on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm, with a prayer service to follow.
Anyone who knew Erik could hear him having a good time from a mile away. He loved to laugh with a bourbon in his hand. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask you to have a laugh, have a bourbon and donate to Our Rescue, an anti-sex trafficking foundation, please see the link below.
1 Peter 4:8
