Erik John Werner

Nowthen, MN - It is with profound sorrow that the family of Erik John Werner announce his passing on Friday, December 12, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on August 16,1978, in Minneapolis and was 47 years of age.

He resided in Nowthen, MN, with his wife Shoua and two beautiful children, Isaak 12 and Elijah 8. He is also survived by his parents Peter and Marie Werner and siblings Leif and Greta.

Erik attended school first in Anoka, then Minneapolis and New Brighton. He graduated from Irondale HS and was a very gifted athlete. He attended Century College and then earned a technical degree from Wyotech College in Laramie, WY.

Erik displayed a fascination with how things work. From his earliest years he instinctively grasped how the physical world ticks. He was a skilled technician and craftsman and was loved by his supervisors and those who worked for him.

Erik possessed a strong work ethic and was a very quick study. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting and fishing. Erik was a superb marksman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing trips and taught his young boys the joy of the outdoors.

Erik cultivated and maintained an extensive network of friends, many since childhood. He was good natured and a true and faithful friend. Through everything he remained happy and positive. Erik was always thoughtful, helpful and kind.

We have lost a good one. It was far too soon.

There will be a celebration of life pending arrangements.
