Erik Sosteno Yrigollen, 53, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away suddenly on June 19, 2025, following a tragic vehicle accident.
Born on June 27, 1971, in San Jose, California, Erik was a vibrant and spirited man who lived life with purpose, joy, and faith. He was full of energy, had a deep love for music and dancing, and always brought laughter and warmth wherever he went. An innovator at heart, Erik loved helping with projects around the house and was always thinking of creative ways to improve the world around him.
Erik was a god-fearing man who lived with integrity and respect. He had a sharp sense of humor, a generous spirit, and a genuine desire to uplift others. He taught his son, Andrew, valuable lessons about manhood, strength, and character, and shared a deep, loving bond with his daughter, Erika. He was not only a father, but a mentor, a protector, and a friend. His passing has left an ache that words cannot fill, but his memory will be carried forward through the stories, values, and love he shared so freely.
He is survived by his loving mother, Gail Yrigollen, and his children, Andrew Yrigollen and Erika Nigh (Yrigollen), who will forever carry his light and legacy in their hearts
A Funeral Service to celebrate Erik’s life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM with a Visitation starting at 2:00 PM at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, located at 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225. Friends and family are warmly invited to attend and honor his life.
