She was born and raised in Tepic Nayarit Mexico. Came to Salt Lake and made it her home in 2000. She battled with cancer for two years. She was the pillar of support and beacon for many. She always offered help when she saw someone struggling.  Her beautiful smile and generosity will always be remembered. Her teachings will live in the hearts and lives of all the people she helped with her life coaching trainings. She is the symbol of strength and tenacity, she fought until the end. She is survived by her two kids; Aesa and Yaretzi, her siblings; Raquel, Linda and Jerry, and her parents; Raquel and Gerardo.  Fly high beautiful angel Luis Sanchez wrote: After almost two years of battling a fierce and strong fight against cancer, Erika passed away on February 9, 2023. We had so many plans for the future and now with your absence, we are all left with a deep emptiness but we are also left with so many beautiful memories of you. You left a mark on so many that had the fortune to meet you. Even in your last days, you became an inspiration to those that saw your strength and determination to not give up. Fly high Corazon. We will one day see each other again.   Erika’s brother wrote: To me Erika was an absolute pillar of support and a beacon in my life. She always offered help when she saw me struggling and i never wanted to let her down so she inspired me to be better.   Erika’s daughter wrote: My mom was the strongest person i've ever met. selfless and independent. she taught so many others how to grow through hardships and appreciate life. helping others was never a problem for her. she showed me what real beauty and love is. her impact on this world will never be forgotten and her love is forever.
