Erma Faye Bowling, 87, Fairland, OK former resident of Granby, MO, passed away January 11, 2026 at the Granby House Nursing Home after an illness.
Erma Faye Mahurin was born August 9, 1938 in Shell Knob, MO the daughter of Willard and Anna (Crawford) Mahurin. Erma loved to read, sew, country music, cooking, baking, canning, gardening, attending her flowers and baseball. She especially enjoyed watching her great grandson playing baseball. Erma was a former member of the Gingham sisters. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Granby, MO.
Erma Faye Mahurin married Henry Bowling June 3, 1957 in Miami, OK and he preceded her in death March 14, 2025. She was also preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Kenneth Mahurin, Evelyn Williams, Pearl Loudermilk, Williard "Junior" Mahurin, Jaunita Channel and infant brother Roger Dale, Mahurin.
Survivors include her daughters, Gayla Jeffers and husband Mike, Neosho, MO, Terry Barker and husband Bill, Granby, MO and Vicky Baum and husband Rex, Diamond, MO; siblings, Wilma Hoover, Neosho, MO, Jane Vermilllion, Neosho, MO, Sue Owens, Granby, MO, Pat Lasiter, Granby, MO, Larry Mahurin, Granby, MO and Marilyn Kyser Coffeyville, KS; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
The body has been taken for cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
A Celebration of life service will be held at 11 am, January 31, 2026 at the First Baptist Church in Granby, with Pastor Russ Johnson officiating.
