Erma was the beloved daughter of Mary Elaine Bowers and Tom Guy Castleverry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Chilton, who passed away on August 9, 1991. Their bond was one of deep love and commitment, and his memory remained close to her heart throughout her life.
For over 33 years, Erma served her community as a dispatcher for the fire department. Her calm presence, reliability, and unwavering dedication made her an essential part of the team and a source of comfort in times of crisis. She took great pride in her work and the role she played in helping others.
Erma also found joy in the simple moments of life, especially the companionship of her beloved dog, Sam, who held a special place in her heart.
She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the quiet but meaningful impact she made on those around her. Erma’s life was one of service and love, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
