ERNEST F. ARMENTA
August 2, 1958 – September 1, 2025
Ernest F. Armenta passed on September 1, 2025, at 12:42 PM. Ernie fought Aplastic Anemia blood disease since January. In May, he underwent a bone marrow transplant in Denver, where cancers later followed.
Gratitude to Southwest Care Center with Dr. Lopez, and to Christus St. Vincent with Dr. Teague.
Ernie was born August 2, 1958, to Ralph and Mary Armenta, the youngest of five, in Bloomfield, New Mexico. He graduated from Bloomfield High School, the University of New Mexico with a B.S. in Pharmacy, and Regis University in Denver with an M.S. in Business Administration.
Ernie served at the Farmington Regional Medical Center as the Manager of Pharmacy, at SWCC, and at the Los Alamos RMC.
Ernie married Bill Knight, and together they have four children and twelve grandchildren.
They resided in Santa Fe and enjoyed travels abroad, camping, hiking, music, opera, walks, friendships, family, happy hours, and martinis on their portal.
Ernie was a kind, gentle, and loving soul-a patient and quiet man. He believed the best in everyone. He enjoyed fine dining, architecture, reading, cruises, and nature. He loved his family and friends.
Ernie leaves a tremendous void. He requested no services. Instead, within your circle of support, pray for hope and strength. Enjoy a drink, good food, and conversation-and toast to a life well lived.
