I didn't know it at the time, but having the Beisswengers for neighbors on Davies Dr was a real blessing. My favorite memories were marshmallows on the 4th of July, running through yards with all of the neighborhood kids, including Kevin, Tommy and Todd of course, and Mr. Beisswenger calling me "little Texas belle" on summer visits after moving to Texas. I'm blessed to have all of you in my childhood memories. My condolences to the family, I know he will be truly missed. --Sue (Street) Patton

So sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. Condolences to the whole Beisswenger family from ours.
Memories of Ernie are great and I hope reading these will bring you love, laughter, and peace. Ernie could never sit still, except for the Yankees. I can't imagine he's sitting still now. Maybe he's playing pinochle with my parents. Ernie gave the best hug and a kiss, every time he greeted you. He shared his passions of gardening, playing in the pool, and corn hole, as of late, but when I was a kid, it was bocce and lawn darts. Every time I was visiting "home" (Wappingers Falls), our family would go over for a swim and hang out. Then, you turn around and Ernie was gone; he'd be sitting in his big round chair watching a game. Or, Ernie would disappear to the garage to get a tool to go fix something. One time, my parents, (in their 60's), (so Ernie was too), were at the Beisswenger's. My Mom's whipping up something in the Beisswenger's kitchen and Ernie and my Dad were under the deck using an electric post hole digger to put a new post in. The auger kicked back, Ernie clocked his head under the deck and my Dad landed flat on his back, (this is a few years after my Dad's hip replacement). Luckily, Ernie got "cleared" at the ER and the wine they had "cured" them. I also loved stories of their trips to Mohonk Mountain house, the casino, or The Culinary Institute. They loved to eat, drink, and be merry! I raise a glass to Ernie; Cheer's to a life lived well.

Ernie was a Great neighbor, I feel sad not with us on earth....always greeted with hugs, easy to talk with. He was a lot fun, good partner to have playing cornhole.
Ernie couldn“t sit still(unless watching sports)
I like to think Ernie is playing pinochle with my parents, Elly and Richard.
My mom fixing gluten free dishes ....
Ernie is being spoiled right now. I also imagine Ernie being fascinated by endless fields of beautiful gardens and catching up chatting with those past before him.
Sincere condolences to family
