Ernest Donjel Chatman

Ernest Donjel Chatman, better known as "Trick", age 49 of Waycross, Ga., was born to Sammy Sallet and the late Carolyn Chatman. He passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 28, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.
Ernest was known as a loving father, son, brother, and uncle. He was family oriented and would light up a room with his affectionate smile. He was a hard-working man. He loved to be around family and friends playing a game of spades, where he would occasionally cheat. If you know "Trick" then you know. He was well known by many and very loved. A legacy he will leave behind.
Ernest was proceeded in death by his mother, Carolyn L Chatman; his brother, Frederick Spearman; daughter, Alexis Chatman; a special cousin, Keita Washington; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted children: E'zireya Chatman, Eniyah Chatman, Inasia Harmon, Ernest (Trista) Chatman Jr, Dream Gainer, My'ieshia Little, Elijah Chatman, Zymear Chatman, Kimora Sellars, Ethan Chatman, Emelia Johnson, E'cari Chatman all of Waycross, Ga. (As you can see he had a very productive life) eleven grandkids; his father, Sammie Lee (San) Sallet; three brothers: Sammy Brown, Edward Brown, and Fredrick Spearman Jr.; eight sisters: Traci Chatman, Latisha Brown, Jennifer Chatman, Victoria Sallet, Tanika Sallet, Sherita(Tyrone) Simekins, Tywanna Sallet, and Samdrea Jones; Special friends: Des, Darnell, Boogie, Madball, Boris, and Shantai; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunties and many, many friends whom he loved dearly and who loved him.
Services to honor his life are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Word of Faith Christian Center, located at 204 S. Crawford St., Waycross, GA 31503. A public viewing will be held prior to the service from 12:00 PM until the start of the service.
