Ernest Luther "Ernie" Gibson

Ernest "Ernie" Luther Gibson, 72, of Westminster, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 25, 2025, at his home. Born September 7, 1952, in Westminster, he was the son of the late James Earl and Julia Corrine (Sheffey) Gibson. Ernie was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He spent most of his working career as an electronic technician. Throughout his decades of service, he repaired countless electronic devices and gadgets, often doing so at little or no cost to those in need. Ernie enjoyed riding his bike, fishing, and talking about the Lord. Surviving Ernie is his daughter Angela Huckaby and husband Frederick of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren Obshanique Combs and husband Jareid, Christian Huckaby and wife Reignna, Keondrick Huckaby, and Sir Frederick Huckaby; great grandchildren Syer Combs and Christian Huckaby; brother, James Gibson of Reisterstown and wife Judy Gibson; nieces, Shonnell Gibson and JuLea Gibson; nephew, Steven Gibson; sister, Irene Rebecca Thomas of Hagerstown and husband Charles Thomas (deceased); nieces, Kimberly Gibson and Carmen Bowens; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel to defray costs.
