Ernest Frank Meisner II

Ernest Frank Meisner, II passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at the age of 80. He was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Harahan, LA.

Beloved father of Jennifer Meisner Regard (William) and Ernie Meisner (Jamee). Grandfather of Katelyn Regard Segura (Alex), William Regard (Ali), Brady Meisner, Jake Meisner and Drew Meisner. Great grandfather of Layla Segura. Former spouse of Jacquelyn Lubrano Meisner. Son of the late Louise Mae Meibaum Meisner and Ernest Frank Meisner. Brother of Louise Chapman and the late Kathryn Friedman.

Ernie was a 1964 graduate of East Jefferson High School. He was a proud and dedicated New Orleans Police Officer for over 31 years. During his time on the force, he served in the Second District, Third District, Fifth District, Head Quarters, and Special Operations Division – Traffic and Motor Cycles. As a police officer, his fondest time was when he was part of the motorcycle platoon. He was also a member of the Krewe of Centurions since its inception in 1979 and served as an officer for 19 of those years. His favorite pastime was sitting in his backyard listening to his oldies but goodies and watching LSU Sports with his best friend Don.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and Memorial Service at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA on Friday, January 30, 2026. Visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m.
