Ernest “Wayne” Mills, 71, of Advance, died Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Iredell County on February 14, 1953, to the late Clarence Woodrow Mills and Violet Privette Mills. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Mills, and a sister, Betty Baker.
Wayne worked in carpentry and masonry and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed doing things for others just to put a smile on their face. Wayne was devoted to Christ and witnessed to everyone he met. He was of the Baptist faith. More than anything, he loved his family and spending time with them.
Those left to cherish his memory include a daughter, Tamara Mills, a son, Kenny Mills, a brother, Eugene Mills (Sheryl), a sister, Linda Niemann (Donnie), and two grandchildren, Lillian Grace Davis and Cynthia Jade Davis.
Services will be private.
