Ernest William Milo

Ernest William Milo, age 89, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Erma Milo, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport and raised in Fairfield, the son of the late William and Bessie Milo, he had been a lifelong area resident. Mr. Milo served proudly in the United States Navy during World War II as an Aviation Radioman and a tail gunner onboard a B-52. A gifted baritone, he and his sister, Betty Milo Moore performed in USO shows locally during the War. They went on to start the Muriel Voice and Dance Studio in Bridgeport. Mr. Milo worked in several different jobs throughout his career. Prior to his retirement he was a real estate broker with his daughters. Survivors in addition to his wife Erma include three children, Dawn Eve Ciappetta and her husband John of Bethlehem. Colleen Catherine Bursey and her husband Raymond of Southbury and Keith Ernest Milo and his wife Michelle of Scranton, PA several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Catherine Selepec Milo and his grandson, Shane Charles Ciappetta. A graveside service with military honors will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Cemetery in Bridgeport. Prior calling hours have been omitted.
