Ernest Nickerson Obituary
It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Ernest Larry Nickerson, Sr. who entered into rest April 21, 2024.
Mr. Nickerson, a native of Richmond County, was a 1967 graduate of Jefferson High School and a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie M. Tillman Nickerson of the home; one daughters, Shonda Nikia (James) Russell of Hephzibah, GA; one son, Ernest L. "Happy" Nickerson, Jr. of North Augusta, SC; three sisters, Lela (Dea. Willis) Leathers of Columbia, SC, Mary (Clyde) Kelly of Augusta, GA and Louise Carol (Albert) Nabritt of North Augusta, SC; two brothers, Jack (Georgia) Nickerson, Jr. and Mack Scott (Margaret) Nickerson both of North Augusta, SC; six grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in the Mt. Canaan Cemetery.
Professional Services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
