Ernest P. Null

Ernest P. Null Ernest P. Null, age 56, of Elkton, MD, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011. Born in Elkton on March 15, 1955, he was the son of Inez Harmon Null, Elkton, and the late Jacob A. Null. Mr. Null had been a professional truck driver for over 30 years and had owned his own truck. Most recently, he worked for Crouse Brothers Excavation, Elkton. Mr. Null loved being with his family and friends, especially his grandson. He enjoyed riding his Harley and watching Fox News and CNN. Mr. Null had attended Crossroads Bible Church, Elkton. He was a past member of Singerly Fire Company, Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #851, and Sons of the American Legion. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 36 years, Cathie J. Null; daughter, Holli N. Francisconi and husband, Bill, Elkton, MD; grandson, William N. "Rocky" Francisconi, IV; siblings, James "Jake" Null and wife, Judy, Elkton, MD, and Phyllis Hamilton and husband, Mickey, Fairbanks, AK; father-in-law, Lester Jamison, Nottingham, PA; sister-in-law, Lesanne Hudson and husband, Phil, Elkton, MD; brother-in-law, Lester C. Jamison, II and wife, JoAnn, Nottingham, PA; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by his constant companion, his Boston terrier, Daisy. In addition to his father, Mr. Null was preceded in death by his siblings, Douglas Null and Sandra Null. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2011, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
