It has been 66 years since Ray (Nails) was my big brother in the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity when I was a freshman at the University of Washington. You could not have asked for a better mentor. Our friendship went beyond the university experience and continued for many years. I have the fondest memories of Ray, Sandy, and Kimmi which I cherish to this day.

In his own way, over the course of some phone calls these past few years, Ray let me know this day was coming. Nevertheless, it saddens me deeply to know that he's not a phone call away. Ray was a very important mentor to me over the years and I would not be where I am today without him. I will be forever grateful that fate steered me in his direction. As a leader, I try my best every day to embody the even-handed, calm, direct, honest, sincere, and intelligent nature of Ray Nailor. He was the Real Deal, a great man, and I will miss him. Love, Steve Prado

I send my most sincere and deepest condolences to Sandra and the family. Ray was one of the really good and nice guys. I knew Ray from growing up in Port Angeles, U of W and Naval Reserve activities.

Just saw the notice about your beloved Ray and want to send my sincere condolences to all the family. I worked at OrePac for over seven years with he and Glenn at the `helm“. He was a fair and honest employer. During that time, I got to know his wife and youngest daughter, Tami. It was obvious to all how important family was to him, which was also reflected in their respect and love of him. May the family find strength in his legacy, wonderful memories and the love they shared.
