Ernest Reeves

Rudy was my close friend in middle school and I was devastated when he moved away partway through high school; he and I always would joke around and be goofy and were pretty much constantly laughing anytime we were together. I will always have very fond memories of all the time I spent with Rudy in school, after school while waiting for Jay to pick him up, and hanging out outside of school. I am so deeply saddened to hear of Rudy´s passing, and wish I had made more of an effort to reconnect after he moved away. I remember in middle school anytime we had a substitute teacher, the two of us would pretend to go by some absolutely ridiculous nickname (but we were very serious about it of course so that the teacher didn´t know). We just shared a sense of humor that was so unique to the two of us, teachers eventually had to start separating us because we would automatically be goofing around and laughing if we were in the same vicinity. My favorite memory from middle school is actually a project we did together (it was a partner project and of course we chose each other to work with) - we had to choose a body system for the project, and we had both independently written down "immune system" as our top choice, it was almost as if we shared a psychic connection; we were just so "in sync". Rudy was such a special person and I wish I could have spent more time with him in adulthood, but I am so grateful for the time we shared and the memories I will always hold close to my heart.
