Dr. Ernest Stanley Siwik

Dr. Ernest Stanley Siwik, of New Orleans, Louisiana and Cleveland, Ohio passed away on March 31, 2024. Dearest father of Nicholas Connor Siwik, William Adam Siwik, Camden Robert Siwik, Caroline Danuta Siwik, stepfather of Elliot and Evan Paradise. Beloved husband to Karen Paradise. Cherished brother of Jaroslaw Siwik. He was preceded in death by his youngest brother Mark Siwik, and by parents Zdzislaw and Danuta Siwik. Ernest was raised in St. Clair Shores, MI and went on to pursue a career in medicine at Wayne State University, Brown University, and Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Siwik went on to serve his community as a practicing pediatric cardiologist for more than 30 years, beginning at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and continuing at The Children's Hospital of New Orleans until his passing. A skilled and dedicated physician, Dr. Siwik saved and changed the lives of countless children and families throughout his career. Outside of his professional life, Ernest enjoyed playing the piano, reading every book he came across, and a thoughtful conversation with anyone willing. He was a mentor, a friend, and a trusted advisor. Above all else, Ernest was a loving father, husband, and brother. A gathering of friends and family will be held at Mayfair Lounge on Thursday, April 18 at 6 p.m. All are welcome.
