Our beloved Ernesto Carreon tragically left us on June 7, 2024. He was born in Harlingen, TX on March 25, 1998, and was raised in Calallen from the age of 3. Ernie graduated from Calallen High School class of 2016.
Ernie's journey, though brief, at a young age, Ernie showed a deep love for cars, working on cars and racing, watching wrestling, hanging out with friends, loved playing video games, and staying up many late nights with cousins & friends. He was the type of person who was always willing to help those in need. He was known for his kind heart, quick wit, and infectious smile, Ernie was a beacon of light in the lives of those he touched. The most important thing to Ernie was that everyone around him was happy and safe. “We will always carry your memory in our hearts.”
Ernie is survived by his loving parents, Isaac and Irene Rivera, and his half-brother, Stevie, and half-sister, Leanne who will miss him dearly.
He also leaves behind his grandparents, Cecil and Emery Wright, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The viewing to celebrate Ernie's life will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm for family & 5:00 to 9:00 pm for the public, service will be at 7:00 pm at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home, located at 12497 Leopard St, Corpus Christi, Texas.

A final viewing will be at 9:30 am on Sunday, June 16, 2024, Ernie will be laid to rest at the Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:00 pm located at 4607 FM 1889, Robstown. For those in attendance, a meal will be provided at the River Hills Baptist Church, located at 16318 FM 624, Robstown, Texas, immediately after the burial.
Ernie's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His life, though short, was a testament to the impact on those he knew best, which was his family & his friends which he considers brothers in this world. Rest in peace, my precious baby Ernie momma and dad love you. Your memory will forever be a source of inspiration and joy to all who knew you.
