She was born in Casey Co., KY on January 7th, 1943, to the late Earnest and Jessie Marie Cravens Sharp.
Ernie Lou was the widow of Wallace Wayne Byrd who passed away on February 24th, 2010.
Ernie Lou was a former employee of Cowden's Manufacturing, Liberty Sportswear, Green River Machine Shop and Floyd Gate.
Survivors include: three children: Karen Byrd of Liberty, Huell Byrd of Liberty and Betty Rodgers of Liberty, seven grandchildren: Derik, Felicia, Jacob, Maranda, Louann, Brandi and Cierra, eleven great grandchildren and two sisters in law: Donna Sharp of Liberty and Pauline Sharp of Moreland.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and spouse was one great grandchild, and two brothers: Ronald E. Sharp and Randall C. Sharp.
Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Friday June 13th, 2025, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday June 14th, 2025, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will be in the South Fork Cemetery.
