Errol Duni

Errol Anthony Duni, 84, of Taylorville, IL, passed away at Taylorville Care Center on March 10, 2026, with his daughter by his side. He was born on May 27, 1941, to the late Tony Jr. and Theresa (Coady) Duni. He married Marilyn Hudson on March 4, 1967, at St. Mary's Church in Taylorville. They spent 54 loving years together.

Errol grew up in Stonington, IL, and was a lifelong resident of Christian County. He proudly served in the Army. Errol worked for Caterpillar for 37 years and retired as a senior engineer. Errol had his pilot license. He had many dogs throughout his life and loved them all. He collected unique writing instruments and played the piano.

He is survived by his daughter: Tricia (and husband Jim) Gruwell of Dawsonville, GA; grandson: Zane Gruwell of Indianapolis, IN; his sister: Rita Paulek of Stonington, IL; brother-in-law: Leslie Miller of Carmel, IN; as well as his aunt: Geraldine Beaty.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son, Charles Hudson Jr.

Errol was a kind soul, dependable friend, and will be missed by many.

Per Errol's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and no services will be held at this time.
