Errol T. Smolenski

Errol T. Smolenski, age 62, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Born on April 8, 1963, to Walter and Marjorie (Achinger) Smolenski. Errol shared 37 wonderful years with his wife, Peggy (Denno) Smolenski, 34 of those in marriage. Their bond was built on love and laughter.

Errol was a proud member of Local 50 Plumbers and Pipefitters and dedicated 40 years to the trades as a skilled HVAC mechanic. His mechanical knowledge was extensive, and he loved building his hovercraft. Errol had a passion for Rock and Roll music and concerts. He also enjoyed shooting his guns and belonged to the Gun Club. He had a special fondness for pizza and pasta, Reese Cremehorns, and a cold Bud Light.

He was a man of faith, deeply devoted to the Lord, and fiercely loyal to his family and friends. Errol was known for his great sense of humor, hardworking spirit and loving nature.

Errol is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Smolenski; nephew, Bryan Layman; brother-in-law, Ronnie (fiancé, Sandy) Layman; and six cherished great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marjorie; and siblings Ruth Smithliser, Julie Layman, and Steve Smolenski.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio. Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial at Toledo Memorial Park.

Errol’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
