Ervin Allen Roberts

Ervin Allen Roberts, 85, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025. He was the son

of the late Frank and Annie Delores Roberts. Ervin was a proud US Air Force Veteran

and retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company. He was also a member of Oak

Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Some of his happiest times were spent sitting on his

front porch with headphones on listening to his favorite music while enjoying a cigar.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Etta Joyce Bradley Roberts, sisters, June, Gail,

Vivian, and Josephine, and brothers, Jerry, Carroll, and Rex Roberts.

Ervin is survived by a sister, Loretta Plemmons, brother, Lynn Roberts, niece Monica

Cody, special great nephew, Logan Ray, several other nieces and nephews, his special

sister-in-law "angels" Lorraine Cody and Shirley Ponder who took care of him during the

past few years alongside his brother-in-law and chauffeur, Teddy Cody. Although Ervin

and Joyce never had children of their own, they were like parents to many including

three exchange students.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Robbie Capps

Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Phillip Parker will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
