Erwin Angus Hudson, Jr.

Erwin Angus Hudson, Jr. passed away on October 12,2024, in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 85. Born on October 10, 1939, in Orange, Texas, to Erwin Angus, Sr. and Lillie (Brister) Hudson.

Erwin's early years were marked by his service in the Air Force, where he demonstrated courage and commitment that would echo throughout his later endeavors. After completing his military service, he worked as a tug boat operator and then he dedicated himself to the ranching profession, that allowed him to intertwine his passion for agriculture with a strong sense of community and family values. He was a true cowboy, he worked as a ranch foreman for William E. Gipson, owner of GM Farms, for over 45 years. Erwin was fun loving and will be missed all.

He is survived by his daughters, Shelia Williams and husband Edward, Erin Bingham and husband Robert; grandson, Brandon Williams and wife Danielle; granddaughters, Jamie Bingham, Jordan Bingham and Jessica Bingham; great grandsons, Colt Williams and Rhett Williams; brothers, Dean Hudson and Jackie Hudson; sister, Tracy Flynn; stepdaughters, Sharon Fullingim and husband John Gerbracht, Jamie Hudson and husband Dean and Rebecca Scott; step grandson, Joseph Ebrom; step granddaughter, Dalia Jaiswal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 36 years, Rena Hudson; second wife of 22 years, Beverly Hudson; brother, Jimmy Hudson and sister, Sissy Smith.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home, there will be a memorial service at a later date.
