TUINSTRA – Rev. Erwin R. Tuinstra, age 91, of Deckerville, (formerly of Jenison) went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 2, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna Tuinstra; his wife of 63 years, Donna (Heydenburg) Tuinstra; and his siblings, Donald Tuinstra, Carol DeBoer, and Kenneth Tuinstra. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Linda (Terry) Puett, Ronald (Nancy) Tuinstra, Terre (Terry) McGregor, and Cheryl (Robert) Evans; nephew, Roy (Sue) Klino; grandchildren, Stephen (Jill), Matthew (Sheri), Phillip (Casey), Andrew (Melissa), Arianne (Paul), Daniel (Allison), Ryan (Jennifer), Renae (Josh), Rochel (Edgar), Rick (Kristi), Randee (Johnny), Meleia (Andrew), Brandon (Patricia), and Meredith (Scott); great-grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Kaylan, Caleb, Porter, Payton, Mary, Sarah, Joshua, Melaina, Taylor, Kennadi, Benjamin, Carly, Caleb, Chloe, Keira, Eli, Leah, Isaiah, Adraina, Julean, Matthias, Parker, Sydney, Katelynn, Lauryn, Mason, and Madelyn; sisters-in-law, Ilene, Janet, Ruth, and Dorothy (Lloyd); and many nieces, nephews, and friends. After serving his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII, Erwin returned home and attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music, preparing for a lifetime of serving the Lord in ministry as a pastor until his passing into Glory. The funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday at the Grandville Bible Church, 4122 – 44th SW, Grandville, MI, with Rev. Terry Puett and Rev. Ronald Tuinstra officiating. Interment will be at Mount Everest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo, MI. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Cook Funeral Home, 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville (West Building). Memorial contributions may be made to IFCA International. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcares.com.
