Estella Mae Moore was born May 13, 1938, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Carrie Burgess (Fuggett) and Leon Burgess. She entered eternal rest on January 16, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
At the age of eight, Estella moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She attended Lincoln School and was deeply influenced by her great-grandmother, Carrie Bryant, whose wisdom she fondly quoted throughout her life.
Estella dedicated over 20 years of service to Delta Faucet Co., retiring as a Line Leader. After retirement, she continued serving others as a bus monitor on “The Kindergarten Bus,” a role she truly loved. She was affectionately known as “Sister” to her siblings and “Granny,” “Aunt Stella Mae,” or “Nannie” to her extended family.
A devoted mother, Estella cherished her children (Stanley Burgess, Boris Moore, Doris McCain, Ryland Moore, Kent Moore, Curtis (Zoe) Blunt, and Mishelle Blunt), grandchildren, and generations of great-grandchildren. She was a faithful believer in Christ, a longtime member of the Church of the Living God, and most recently attended Shepherd Street Christian Church.
Estella was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Benjamin Blunt; her son, Stanley; her parents; and her brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, friends, and church family.
