Estella E. Nebgen

1933 - 2025

Estella Weber Nebgen went to her eternal home on October 30, 2025. Estella was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. She was the most loving, caring and kind person that anyone met. She was an adoring mother, grandmother and the matriarch of her family. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and most of all, loved spending time with family.

Estella was born March 4, 1933 to Eugene Arthur Weber and Ella Molzberger Weber, in Fredericksburg, Texas. She grew up on the family farm in Luckenbach, Texas. She attended school at South Grape Creek School, Stonewall and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1952.

On January 12, 1955, she married the love of her life, Leo Nebgen, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fredericksburg. They were married for 60 years.

Together they had four children.

Barbara and Franklin Staats, Michael and Jan Nebgen, Carolyn and Richard Herbort, and Albert and Rhonda Nebgen.

She had 7 grandchildren and spouses : Carissa Staats and Felix Castaneda, Phillip and Kara Staats, Stephanie and Cody Oris, Michelle and Matthew Jepson, Daniel and McKenna Herbort, Chrystal Nebgen and fiancé Tanner Doskocil, and Cordell Nebgen.

Also 7 great-grandchildren: Marah, Broc, Lincoln, Elsie, Avery, Olivia, and Jace; 3 great-great-grandchildren: Ella June, Evie Jane, and Reese.

She is also survived by her brother, Mike Weber and wife Valinda; her sisters-in-law, Helen Weber, Alice Nebgen Grohman, and Patricia Nebgen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, brother, Armand Weber; sister-in-law, Julie Weber, and great-granddaughter, Addyson Staats.

Visitation was held Wednesday, November 5, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., with a rosary service at 5 p.m., in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home, Fredericksburg.

A Mass of Resurrection was held on Thursday, November 6, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fredericksburg, with graveside services and interment in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Phillip Staats, Daniel Herbort, Cordell Nebgen, Broc Graef, Lincoln Staats, Cody Oris, Matt Jepson, Felix Castaneda and Honorary Pallbearer: Jace Jepson.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in her memory to Golden Hub, St. Mary's School Endowment Fund, or a charity of your choice.
