Ester Ibanez

Ester P Ibanez, who lived to almost the age of 90 years, peacefully departed on February 9, 2026, in her home in Hanford, CA. She was born in San Luis, Guanajuato, Mexico to Amador Perez and Francisca Garcia. Ester and Santos Ibanez were married on February 8, 1954. They were married for 43 years until his passing. She arrived in the United States in 1962 together with her husband Santos to a farming community in Five Points, California. Together they raised 4 sons and 2 daughters. She worked as a farm worker for several years and later worked as a housekeeper at Diener's Estate for 15 years. In 1974, they moved to Riverdale to build their first home. In 1990, they would move to Hanford, where they lived across the street from their daughter Ortencia and her family. In 1996, they moved to Lemoore into their newly built home.

After retirement, she dedicated her time to working on her hobbies: gardening, sewing, crocheting, knitting, making rosaries and bracelets, taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and baking her famous upside-down pineapple cake for her family. She was very talented and had so much passion for everything she created, including little pillows for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted catholic and a woman of faith. She would donate proceeds earned from making rosaries and bracelets to help fund the new catholic church, St Peters. She joined the Guadalupana Society in 2010. She faithfully attended mass and prayer groups every week, along with attending church events regularly. She loved her whole family and welcomed all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with her unconditional love and support and maintained great pride in all they accomplished. She was proud of her family and instilled the value of hard work and inspiration to become responsible members of society. Her whole family was her source of great pride and joy.

Ester is preceded in death by her husband, Santos Ibanez, her parents, Amador Perez and Francisca Garcia, her siblings Maria Isabel, Delfino Perez, Francisco Perez and various nephews and nieces, including her great grandson Liam Brewer.

She is survived by her 6 children, Jessie (Maria), Manuel (Mercy), Javier (Connie) Arturo (Rosa), Ortencia (Richard), Esther along with 24 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 10:15am-10:45am; Recitation of Holy Rosary at 11:00am; followed by mass at 11:30am at St Peter Prince of the Apostles Church 870 N. Lemoore Ave, Lemoore, CA; Interment at Lemoore Cemetery 1441 N. Lemoore Ave, Lemoore, CA 93245.
