Ester Lee Parrott, a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on May 4, 1932, Ester lived a life marked by her passion for gardening, hard work, and most importantly, her love for family. She was known for her vibrant spirit and dedication to spending time with her loved ones.
Throughout her life, Ester cultivated not only beautiful gardens but also rich relationships with her family and friends. She took great joy in working in her yards, which reflected her nurturing personality. Her commitment to her family was evident, as she always prioritized their well-being and happiness. Ester was a tireless worker who enjoyed staying busy, making the most of each day.
Ester was a proud member of Rivers of Living Water Church, where she found community and faith. Her deep-rooted beliefs guided her and provided comfort throughout her life.
Ester is survived by her daughters, Tina P. Smith and Linda L. Walters (Kenneth). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Candace H. Shupe, Casey N. Threatt, David L. Smith, Isaiah Walters, and Whitley Walters. Ester's legacy will continue through her great-grandchildren, Jack D. Threatt, Jonathan M. Threatt, Sarah E. Threatt, and Mary Grace Threatt. She is also survived by her sister, Alice Tyner (John), and her brother, Waitus Altman (Rosealy).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Coben and Lucile Altman, her beloved husband, Theodore Woodrow Parrott, and her son, Hoyt Alexander Parrott. Additionally, several loving siblings have also passed before her.
The visitation will be held on September 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, both at Rivers of Living Water Church, located at 540 Pond Hollow Rd, Hartsville, SC. Pastor Tom Gainey will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home. A burial service will take place on September 19, 2025, at Florence Memorial Gardens, located at 3320 S Cashua Dr, Florence, SC, starting at 2:00 PM
