Esther Cobian, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister, passed away at the age of 93 on March 1, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Esther was born on June 16, 1932, in El Limón, Jalisco, Mexico, to Dominga Solórzano and Benjamin Corona.
Esther was a hard worker from a very young age, helping her stepfather in the fields and her mother at home. As an adult, she worked at a textile company and later as a guest room attendant at one of the hotels in Las Vegas, where she eventually retired.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved cooking for her family and making sure everyone was well fed. Her family was the center of her universe, and caring for them brought her great joy.
Esther was preceded in death by her mother, Dominga Solórzano; her father, Benjamin Corona; and her siblings Moisés, Emilia, Guadalupe, Sara, Carmen, and Luz. She is survived by her youngest sibling, Benjamin.
She is survived by son Jorge and his wife Irene Cobian, daugher Elia and her spouse Juan Michel, daugther Celia and her spouse Alvaro Alvarez, daugher in law Martha Cobian, nephew Felipe Contreras, grandchildren: Jessica Valle-Hernandez and Juan Hernandez, Edgar Cobian, Wendy and Allan Borja, Giselle and Juan Melendez, Giovanna Michel, Elvis Alvarez, Edwin Cobian, Milton Alvarez and Sabrina Dominguez, and Juan Michel Jr. and by her great- grandchildren: Jazmine Capri Aguilar and spouse Daniel Camarena , Eddie Melendez, Carlos Eduardo Hernandez, Vanessa Marie Cobian, Kayleen Melendez, Evan Cobian, Gabriella Itzel Hernandez, Aaron Vincent Alvarez, Aaron Ivan Alvarez, Jaylah Jazlyn Rodriguez, Sofia Isabel Hernandez, and Celina Ariyanna Alvarez, and Lourdes Garcia and family.
Con profundo pesar, la familia anuncia el fallecimiento de nuestra querida madre, abuela, bisabuela, tía y hermana, Esther Cobian quien partió de este mundo a la edad de 93 años el día 1 de marzo de 2026 en Las Vegas, Nevada.
Esther nació el 16 de junio de 1932 en El Limón, Jalisco, México, hija de Dominga Solórzano y Benjamín Corona.
Desde muy joven fue una mujer trabajadora, ayudando a su padrastro en las labores del campo y a su mama en los labores de la casa. Ya en su vida adulta trabajó en una compañía textil y más tarde como encargada de limpieza de habitaciones en uno de los hoteles de Las Vegas, donde finalmente se jubiló.
Fue una madre, abuela y bisabuela amorosa y dedicada. Disfrutaba cocinar para su familia y siempre se aseguraba de que todos estuvieran bien alimentados. Su familia fue el centro de su vida y la mayor fuente de su alegría.
Esther fue precedida en la muerte por su madre, Dominga Solórzano; su padre, Benjamín Corona; y sus hermanos Moisés, Emilia, Guadalupe, Sara, Carmen y Luz. Le sobrevive su hermano menor, Benjamín.
