Esther V Owens

Esther V Owens, a beloved individual whose strong faith and loving spirit touched many lives, passed away on October 12, 2025, in Grove City, Ohio. Born on June 17, 1934, in LaFollette, Tennessee, Esther lived a life rich in compassion and service.

Known for her kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion to her beliefs, Esther had a knack for making others feel cherished. Her humor and love for people made her a joy to be around, and she was often seen as a witness for the Lord, always sharing her faith with those around her.

Esther was proud of her accomplishments, notably going back to school at the age of 50 to finish her GED and pursue a career as a beautician. Her passion for learning and perseverance stood as a testament to her character.

She enjoyed various hobbies that enriched her life, including building puzzles, reading her Bible, and regularly attending church. Additionally, Esther found joy in watching Star Trek and old western movies, which added a unique flavor to her personality.

Within her family, Esther was deeply loved. She is survived by her daughter, Uelicia Ann (Bill) Webb; granddaughter, Nichole Webb; and great-grandchildren, Briana Hunt and Lannie Hunt. Esther cherished her son-in-law, Bill, often referring to him as her favorite.

Esther's legacy will continue through her family and the countless friends whose lives she impacted. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Housley and Ethyl Shepard; her son, Stanley Tumlin; and several brothers and sisters.

A visitation will be held on October 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest in Grove City, Ohio. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will follow at Concord Cemetery at 12:00 PM.
