Esther Cañarejo Perez

February 23, 1946 - November 4, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Esther Cañarejo Perez, who entered into eternal life on November 4, 2025. Born on February 23, 1946 in Talisay City, Cebu - Philippines, Esther was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, known for her faith, laughter, family parties and generosity, here and abroad.

Esther is survived by Nelson, her loving husband of over 50 years, her children Eduardo (daughter-in-law Andrea, grandchildren Rebecca, Eddie and Nicholas), Sira (grandson Xavier) and Marco (daughter-in-law Xiomara), and numerous Filipino cousins, nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life Esther was passionate about her family and supporting others, and touched the lives of many from helping to renovate San Pedro's Chapel in Pooc to funding Filipino nieces' and nephews' education. She and Nelson helped create what we lovingly call our "Filipino Community", with family in Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Texas, Nevada, Nebraska, Washington, California, and of course in the Philippines.
