First of all, I am terribly sorry for your loss. The loss of someone so young is a difficult tragedy to endure.
Ethan was one of the best teammates a coach could ask for. Although he was so quiet, he was always willing to row in any spot we needed from him. He always had a pleasant smile and gave his best effort everyday.
If there is anything we can do as an organization, please let me know.

We used to live in the same street as the Blecke family. I have fond memories of Ethan and Andrew playing soccer with my nephews from Spain and my son in their front yard . We were deeply saddened by the news and we wish Ethan rests in peace. He was a very sweet kid. We send our love to Erica, Tim and Andrew.

When transitioning from the long, relaxing summer, to the dreadful and exhausting nights studying, thoughts of an inevitable return back to school haunted me. As my life took a turn for the worst, a guy named Ethan came along. His presence took away all of the stress that held me down from the joy that life was offering me. We hung out at sleepovers, basketball courts, and wherever our hearts took us. We even created a small lawn mowing company for a short while. Sometimes instead of competing over sports or even food, we would just talk about our thoughts that made each of us laugh for countless hours. Ethan was a great and unforgettable friend. May Ethan rest in peace as he will never be forgotten so long his memories stay in our hearts.

Many times when I took my daughter to art class at the house with Erica, Ethan would always smile and say Hi at us upon entry. Several times I saw him coming home or leaving for basketball. He will be missed by our entire community.

I was pretty close with Ethan growing up through Elementary school, though we didn´t talk much throughout high-school whenever we did he was always smiling and always had something funny to say. Even when me or my other friends were upset he would always hold a smile and be able to make everyone laugh and I think that´s what everyone loved about him.

I only met him during the last academic year (2023-24) in my English and American History classes, but I´ll always remember him as the one that would make every effort to light up the room he was standing in and put up with the antics of everyone around him, myself included. He was the kind of friend that you´d try not to lose. He had a bright future ahead and his untimely death only further stresses the need for land use reform to make our roads safer and for us to be less dependent on them. May he be granted Moksham.

Ethan and my son had a friendship through grade school and middle school. He was always polite and respectful. He was the friend you wanted your kid to have. Our family prays for Ethan and his family.

Kyle will always remember searching for the best seafood in Boston with Ethan! Ethan was the nicest friend. Kyle will never forget the camp out, baseball, basketball, and playing some volleyball together. Prayers for all of Ethan´s family and friends. May he rest in peace.

From the very first time Ethan and I Met, you never seen him without a smile. This is one kid, that never complained and always worked hard. Getting to know Ethan within the short period of time, I knew this was a kid that was going places. No matter the environment, he is going to standout without trying. He cared himself with the upmost respect.

Posting behalf of my daughter who is also a Jerome Student. Ethan is a calm and nice kid who always have a smile on his face. It is very sad to loose a classmate. RIP Ethan. All your friends are going to miss you!

I had the pleasure of meeting Ethan through his father Tim, and little brother Andrew through basketball (my son Isaiah plays with Andrew). Although my interactions with Ethan were minimal, he made a lasting impact because he was such a respectful young man, bright, extremely positive. He represented the kind of young man I want my son to aspire to be. Gone far too soon :(

I will always remember how hard he worked at the sport he loved and how much Jerome and the basketball program meant to him.

Ever since elementary school, Ethan was always smiling, no matter what the situation was, Ethan always seemed to brighten the mood, never bringing something negative to the situation. He was so supportive of our rowing team, a hardworking teammate who never disappointed.
We´re all gonna miss you so much buddy.

From hocos to sleepovers, I will always remember Ethan for his calm and smiling demeanor. One memory I have at one of Ethan´s sleepover was playing basketball and watching horror movies till 1 am. I hope that you´ll be able to ball out in heaven while jamming out to some Travis Scott and eat all the blazing hot wings you want. Thank you for great times and rest in peace forever Ethan Blecke.

I distinctly remember spending time with Ethan during lunch in middle school after lockdown. Even though I really didnt enjoy going to school much then, the time I would spend chatting away with Ethan and friends were highlights of my day that I looked forward to. Whether it was and laughing together about whatever the conversation brought up, messing around, or playing video games, he was always a blast to be around and lightened other people's mood. May he rest in peace.

I always enjoyed playing basketball with Ethan. He has been on my dya basketball team for the past few years and he was an incredible player that put a lot of effort into getting better every day. Also, it was always so much fun getting together with Ethan and the rest of our friend group to play basketball and other sports at Avery.

Rest in peace Ethan. It was an honor to be your friend.

Ethan and I sat on the bus together and we used to talk about whatever happened that day at school. He would always make me laugh with the stories he told me and brighten my day. I remember going to his house for a sleepover and watching a horror movie called "The Conjuring". It terrified me so much that I wasn´t able to fall asleep that night. That was a highlight of that summer and a memory I won´t forget

For now and forever, going to Avery Park will always remind me of the times that Ethan, me, and others would play basketball on its courts.

Rest In Peace Ethan. You will be missed.

The best three point shooter in basketball I´ve ever seen, extremely fun to be around, a great listener that helped you whenever you needed. It was always a pleasure to hang out with him, and it was an incredible pleasure to get to know him over two school years. Heaven gained someone incredible. Someone with passion, care, and love. Thank you Ethan Blecke, we were all blessed to experience your greatness. You´re the three-point king.

Me and Ethan used to play basketball together last summer and it was some of the most fun I´ve had outside. There was one day when it was raining and we all went in a forest for shelter after playing and we just talked for a while. I won´t ever forget that day
