Ethan Clark Wallace, of Round Rock, TX passed away on February 4, 2023 at the age of 18. He was born October 18, 2004 in Austin, TX to Richard and Rikki Wallace. He was a senior at Round Rock High School. As of this week he was accepted to become a fightin' Texas Aggie class of 2027 like his father (class of 97) and grandfather (class of 50). Ethan is a Christian and was baptized at The Quarries Church June 18, 2012.
Ethan enjoyed sports from a very young age. He was on the Round Rock HS football team as a freshman and on the golf team as a sophomore and junior. His smile could light up a room and bring warmth to all around him. Ethan had a passion toward entrepreneurship which allowed him to start two different businesses by the age of 18. Ethan was witty and had a wonderful sense of humor. He had a deep love for his family and friends, and was always there to help others. His heart was just as big as his smile.
He was preceded in death by Troy Clark (Grandfather), Calvin Wallace (Grandfather), Larry Wallace (Uncle), George Shelton (Uncle), Hanna West (Aunt), and Dustin Clark (Cousin). He is survived by Richard Wallace (Father), Rikki Wallace (Mother), Kendall Wallace (Sister), Savannah Wallace (Sister), Oleta Clark (Great Grandmother), Allie Belmont (Grandfather), Mona Belmont (Grandmother), Brian Belmont (Uncle), Tim Carr (Uncle), Haley Carr (Aunt), Landon Carr (Cousin), Brody Carr (Cousin), Abbie Wallace (Aunt), Loneta Wallace (Aunt), Dorcas Powell (Aunt), Mary Jane Wallace (Aunt), Betsy Case (Aunt), Lori Wallace (Aunt), Amber Gonzalez (Aunt), Emerald Garcia (Aunt), and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Rikki, Richard and Family, It was my great privilege to work with Ethan this summer. I knew him for such a short time, but feel like I knew him for so much longer. When you help students brainstorm personal essay topics, you learn so much about who they really are. I learned that he loved his family deeply - parents, grandparents, siblings, everyone. I learned that he was motivated to make things happen and was excited by the thrill of every new enterprising venture he took on. I learned that he had incredible self-discipline and a strong work ethic. Several of his essays mentioned getting up at 5:00 a.m. to tackle whatever it was he had to do that day. And I learned that he was a very polite and thoughtful young man. I remember him asking me one week about a movie I said I was going to see when we met the week prior -I was impressed that he remembered that!

I know this is a terrible time for you and that the loss of a child is something you will never completely get over. But in the midst of your grief, I pray you can reflect with pride and joy upon the wonderful boy you raised and the life he lived.

With love and sympathy,
Neisha
